It’s just I’ve got a bunch new followers on here.
Due to my quitting the SPN fandom/cult/freakbase or whatever else you would like to call it, I am going to be deleting my blog.
I am saying goodbye.
I kept trying to ignore the amount of trash going on around me. All the fanart, which would be wonderful except for the subject matter. All the gifs- F the gifs, there are more gifs trying to promote pairings than there are anything else.
I’m sick of it all. And here’s what I would like to say:
You are free to think what you want. Dream what you want. Make whatever you want on tumblr. You do not get to disrespect the show and call yourself a fan.
Supernatural is about two brothers. They’ve been through hell and back. They loved their family, even if it wasn’t ever quite whole. They love each other to death and they’re all they have left.
Who is Sam attracted to? Jess. He wanted to marry her. He loved her, too. He was devastated by her death.
In high school, he kissed a pretty kitsune girl. Later, he slept with a werewolf. Did you see how he was looking at her, nervous around her, fighting Dean for her? What about Amelia? Or how he obviously lusted for Ruby like heck? He slept with both of them. You’re getting the idea.
Now there’s Dean. For years he hit on anything with boobs. He quite enjoyed watching a strip. He dreamedabout it. He slept with Lisa every night he was there. He kissed Anna and so, so many more girls. Did you see him checking them out? All the time?
Now. Does Dean love Sam, and Sam Dean? Of course. Immensely. Does Dean love Cas? Of course. But they love the way Sam loved his mother. The way Dean loved John, the way they both loved Bobby. They love each other the same way you love your parents or your best friend or your siblings.
Why can people not separate lust from love? Why do they try to make life about sex? When you think of your father or your sister or your cousin, do you think of kissing them and sleeping with them? Or do you think of everything you’ve been through together, how they looked out for you and cared for you and how you did the same for them?
If you agree with anything I’ve been saying at all, I’d appreciate a like. Just to know I’m not completely alone. Just to know humanity isn’t as disgusting as I think it is (or at least SPN fans). I love the show. I don’t mind if you admit to your fantasies. I just don’t agree and I don’t want to see this at every turn, people trying to justify things and make the characters into something they’re not. It’s disgusting to think that people are so disrespectful to the characters, the show, and everyone who created them.
